Overview

Statutory audit is an attestation engagement reserved for chartered accountants in practice. It involves the independent examination of financial statements prepared under the applicable financial reporting framework, and the expression of an audit opinion thereon.

Engagements are undertaken in accordance with the Standards on Auditing (SAs) issued by the ICAI and the relevant legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the entity.
